The Bipeds of Skipping Rock Farm.

We don't really like to talk about ourselves, especially not in third-person. But this is what we came up with.

Two women holding a large fish by a river.

Amy

Amy is in charge of all nursery operations; building meaningful client relationships, supervising staff, stratifying seed, batching, conditioning and testing soils, potting, repotting, pruning, jamming to Beastie Boys, feeding the trees, watering the trees, mulching, treating and over-wintering the nursery sites.

Amy holds a certificate in Grant Writing from the University of South Carolina, focusing on project grants that support reforesting, wildlife conservation and climate stewardship. She knows enough Spanish to get her point across and enough Portuguese to get her in trouble.

Amy enjoys waterfall hunting, fly fishing and the smell of freshly sharpened wood pencils.

Billy

Billy manages our forest, making sure all the trees and wildlife stay happy and healthy. It's tough, physical, yet satisfying work.  He is also the talent behind our wood-worked products.

Billy grew up in a large, cattle ranching family, cowboying with his brothers. He rodeoed as well; calf roping, bronc riding and getting stitches.

Billy enjoys woodworking, bass fishing and watching Dateline.

Tiffany

Tiffany is our incredibly talented lead for all things creative. She spends her time adventuring through the forest and creating fantastic works of art from the forage, plants and flowers that she finds and grows. Tiffany is a true naturalist and artist with a commitment to honoring all that the woodlands offer up.

Tiffany enjoys horseback riding, floral design, and vitamin D.

Seasonal Assistance

There are times within every season that outside professionals are brought in to help us out.

We've never taken pictures of these talented and very knowledgeable individuals, but here's what we came up with. It's close.

The Quadrupeds of Skipping Rock Farm.

They came to us as orphans or rescues and they're absolutely delightful.

Not Quadrupeds.

She's the boss

Now that's Hot Chicken!

They're not smart. But they're smart enough.

Please call to schedule a visit.

Visits to Skipping Rock Farm are by appointment only.

If you show up without one, the dogs will let you know exactly how they feel about it. And, we'll probably shake our heads as the ambulance leaves.
